anyone know much about these lights? They are pricey.

is keeping SPS with them and they look pretty colorful on pg 26.

I've seen them at MACNA Houston, they look extremely stylish and well built, they are Italian and Ferrari looking.
I've read some threads online where a guy or 2 had problems with them, Steve said the same thing but they sure looked awesome.
I priced out one for a 1K bulb, it was like $1600 for bulb and reflector, that would be $250 for a lumenarc and Helios bulb! But if I had an open top tank they would look very sweet!

Paul, I think you should do a T-5 tank! The colors on the fish would be crazy nice.

well if you price them vs 3-4 400 MHs, they are cheaper.

with 24 bulbs.... even the cheap ones are $20.00ea.... thats $480.00 as much as every 6 months.

Grim has a cheap Sfiligoi T5 fixture (6 bulb, 4foot, no fans) and it has the lowest output of any 6 bulb unit he has tested. Not worth the money. They didn't think it out well since it had no fans and it really didn't have a splash shield. Since the unit is supposed to be in the $1000+ range it ain't worth it.
