Is there a local source for bulkheads. I am looking for a 1" threaded x2. The one that came in the kit has a barb fitting.

Also i noticed that bulk heads are abs and all the other fittings are pvc. Is there a special cement that is need or can I just use regular pvc cement?

Don't know that answer. Try Levi, bush, or murph.

Seascape only carries slipXslip bulkheads but both Big R and the plumbing supply houses carry threaded. As for bonding PVC to abs I only use transitional cement. I have two or three good bottles laying around and you're welcome to one. It's kind I expensive for the very limited use you'll get out if it.

Seascape and mr aqua both carry standard sizes. Yes you can use regular pvc glue, however, it wll slide out while drying. Ensure that you hold the bulkhead and rhe pvc for 2 min to gurantee the seal?

Thanks for the info. My ball valve is sch 80 and that will go on the bottom of the bulkhead and the overflow kit provided is sch 40 that will slip onto the top of the bulkhead. Will this transition glue work for both the 40 and 80 fittings?
