I set up the new 90 Gal with the hang on overflow box. Got it all running the way it should but the inlet is pumping water in faster then its pumping out. I dont know what to do, How do I speed the outlet or slow the inlet? the tank after a minute or so starts to over flow. Inlet hose is 1" into a 3/4" spray bar (which I plan on replacing) the outlet siphon hose is 1" to 2, 1 1/2" hoses coming out of the box.

I may be understanding you wrong. Are you saying your pump is pumping faster than your drain line drains? If so a simple ball valve on the return line will allow you to slow down your pumps flow

Awesome thanks for the help. Should the hose go inside or on the outside? How do you seal to prevent leak? Hose clamps?

Just get the threaded ones, buy the pvc thread to hose adapter, clamp your hose on the barbed part, thread the other end into the ball valve and your done

Lowes or Home Depot has the valves and they look like the following but you'll want the 1"

If you can find something like this (difficult) they're awesome as they have both the unions and the ball valve together.

If this is coming from a sump I prefer to set it up as follows. Note, I've listed the pieces in vertical order.

Return nozzle
Vinyl hose
Gray threaded to vinyl hose fitting
1" PVC Slip to threaded fitting
1" PVC pipe (6" or so)
1" Ball valve
1" Slip Union so you can remove the valve (These leak less than threaded valves)
1" PVC pipe (about 1.5 feet high or what ever you want)
1" PVC threaded to slip fitting
Pump
Sump Bottom

Be sure to use thread tape on any threaded fittings and don't use too much of it or it will leak.

On speeding up your overflow, the lower the top of the hose in your outlet box the faster the water will flow out of it. However, it will also be louder. Meaning, if the water level in the tank drops three inches to the overflow tube opening in the outside box that's better than one inch. You can quiet it down a bit by putting a piece of airline in the opening.

Lastly, never put a ball valve on the inlet side of the pump -- only the outlet side.

Good luck.

Ended up getting a new overflow box. Ball valve open all the way. Working awesome. http://imgur.com/V9DoAoa. http://imgur.com/t443S7O
