I have a 3/4 glass bit. I'll look and see what bulkheads I have. Happy to help you drill too.

tank isnt or the bottom isnt? Are you wanting a drill in the back pane of glass or are you hoping to have the bottom pane drilled? I again would not recommend drilling the bottom glass. I have extra 3/4" and 1" bulkheads, threaded x threaded and slip x barbed nipple for vinyl applications.

also I have a glass 50g sump that is baffled already with an area for filter floss, skimmer and last section is for return pump. You will need 2x mag 9.5 or 1x mag 18 or something like that for a 150g if you are running 2x return lines on it.

The tank has no tempered glass on it. I want drills on the back, not the bottom. can you call me so we can discuss and set up a time? I do not know if there are rules on this page to leave phone numbers....dont want to get in trouble lol

If it's the dimension of the 50 is the issue you could always search for a 50 breeder. But in my experience a larger sump is better. More room for skimmers ( large and take a substantial piece of real estate) return pump for that size tank ( also takes up precious space) then you have filter media, reactors, heaters. By the time you've figured out what you want you might find that a 30 gal is too small. We've all made mistakes and I hope you can learn from our experience.

yes I think tim will drill the holes, but he would have to come to my home as the tank is just to big and heavy for me to move as I have a challenger sports car, so ...lol

what about a 40 breeder tank?
It's a good sump, I had a 150 tall and used a 50g breeder for my sump because of how large the skimmer was. 40g breeders though are good tanks and petco has them on sale for 40. Then another 50 in glass and silicone and you should be all set. Tim can do all that for you and help with the design.

Sorry. Other than maybe teaching someone how to drill I'm not going to be much help. You're more than welcome to stop by and see how my plumbing works.
