So, as some of you know, i scored a pretty nice 75 gal rimless tank at MAGNA. I am now debating to jump up maybe one tick more...just a tiny tick. I am stuck with a 4 foot length and would like to keep a 20" height ( my arms are only so long and I would prefer to clean my tank without having to dive in it), but can't find a 24" depth to go along with those length/height restrictions. Anybody here have an idea who I could bug to build me one, or where I could order one?

Glass cages wants 700 plus 450 for shipping. I actually started laughing...thought it was a joke...

Correct me if I'm wrong but I do believe that SeaScape will order a tank for you with no shipping added.

Exactly!!!! And just as expensive :(. I wonder why? It's not like it is that much glass compared to a standard 75

We should ask for a mini group buy and free shipping!!!!!!

It's a lack of mass production that causes the price spike.

You are going to spend 3-400 on glass unless you want to frankenstein a few broken tanks together. At 20" tall to make it rimless you will need at least 1/2" glass. I may even have a piece of 1/2" glass 48"x24" you can have. I need to go find out the dimensions, but I'm almost 100% positive it is larger and I can cut it down for you

If I were building rimless 20" tall tank my front, back and sides would be 3/4" glass. But that's just me, I like to over build tanks.

120 aren't that far off in size, 24x24x48. I know where there is one with overflows already installed. Maybe make up for a tough loss you just had...

I would have to magically add another 4 inches to my fingers to clean the tank...lol
But...is it rimless?

In other words...are you offering up your expertise and build a tank for me??? Where would I get the glass from?

Lol no I have too much on my plate right now but I'd offer the piece of glass. I love the 120g platform it's a perfect size and my little 5'1" wife can clean the tank so if she can you can lol.

Not when you add in the depth of your sand bed.

I currently have a 3" depth sandbed...I guess I could go up a couple of inches...

I swear by magnet scrubbers and long tube syphons. It's not rimless, it's a standard 120 that I have at my work.

Ditto. I have go-go-gadget tongs and grabbers and even a scrubber. The only time I'm in my tank is when I have to remove a shark from an overflow.

Or a dumb Molly. Lol. But when it comes to feeding Sharky you leave it to me, think your waiting to get video of her taking my finger as bait.

Haha, I will be all about those cute seahorses. But I'm sure the feeding will still be me. I think he enjoys watching me do it. Seeing how short I am, I'm practically in the tank lol. :)

Lol...and there we are back to my dream of a 20" height tank...I may not be as short as you are but I do prefer to keep my sleeves dry...
