Hello all... after years of wanting to toy with saltwater, I have setup a small 29 biocube at my office.
Lots of late night research and lots of fun:

2543

Around 15 lb of liverock, and 20 lb of sand.
Right now the tank is cycling

Welcome! :). I started with a cube like that as we'll and glad I did. Lots to learn for sure. The only thing I'm missing is having a real sump.

I happened to just google a colorado fish club to get some ideas, and found you :)

89delta, what do you have in your fuge?
Hope to have some pics of fish in the next week or so ;)

Welcome. Don't be afraid to ask for help or advice or a tank visit. Were not just a buy/sell club.

Nice. I liked the cubes. I have owned the 14 & 29 in the past. Any mods to your tank?

I did the filter mods, which were toss the bioballs, insert foam. Added a titanium heater as well as matrix media in a mesh bag, a poly filter, matrix carbon and purigen. Saw a few people doing this with suscess, so we will see what happens once we go "live".
I have been adding ammonia to jump start the bacteria, as my live rock wasn't making enough ammonia from the transfer from the fish store. My nitrites are off the chart and i'm waiting for them to drop.

Next mods will be steves led lights I think, still debating on what to get. I want some nice looking corals and really want them to pop.
