Does anybody sell the same led lights you see on eBay locally? Or does anyone have some for sale. I want to light my 90 and get good coral growth for 200.00. Is this even possible?

I have a reefbreeder photon32 that I could let go for $250 if you are interested.

These are the lights I picked up off of Ebay

Cody purchased them as well and really likes them.

Neither of these seem like they would light a 90 gallon...or am I wrong?

The set ebay lights or the Reefbreeder photon 32 would light 90 gallon no problem. I had a similar set of ebay lights on my 110 gallon for a couple years with great success, then got the photon32 and used it for a little more than a year with similar result. However, in my experience, neither of them gave me the color I want out of my sps, so I switch back to halide.

I am interested in the reefbreeder for sure. I gotta budget for it

2 of the ones I posted are more than enough for a clam on the sand bed of a 90g

I have the photon32 hanging over my frag tank at the moment so you are welcome to come check it out and play around with it to see if it's something that you are looking for. My dad's mix reef tank also have some older non-full-spectrum ebay lights over it, then we add some uv and red leds to the fixtures recently and seen some good colors with the lps.

Are you selling yours Levi?

I'm not selling mine but they are so cheap brand new, can't buy used for much cheaper honestly. Used leds usually go for 60 and these new are like 85 each

I was thinking of doing two dim full spectrum ever grows led for the 50gal rimless starphire glass tank I'm starting to piecing together. Do you think that would be good enough for sps and clams . what I really want is the zetlight ZT 6600 but I'm two poor even with the group buy that Jared is putting together http://www.zetlight.com/index.php/products?id=46

Levi is there a add on product that can create sunrise sunset/storm effects with these?

Delta what's your website?

I have my dimmable full spectrum over my 40 gallon about 15" from the glass tops and have my clam on the sand bed and it's loving life. After much debate I decided I am selling two of these lights. Used for 2 months and can't be happier with the growth in clam and a wide variety of corals. I am keeping the other two for my frag tank and my 40g.

yes 89Delta can add on a controller to do things such as sunrise/sunset, lunar cycles which have proven to improve coral growth etc.

I am actually having him play around with the touch screen controller from the ever grow it2060 lights and add it onto the dimmable full spectrum lights I have.

Delta I'm buying the lights from Levi how much would it cost to get a timer with sunrise sunset and storm effects?

Rough estimate for the complete mod replacing the Chinese drivers which only go to 10% and don't give great response during cloud n lighting effects is around $135 per unit ATM. Trying to come up with cheaper solutions as well.

I have the 2060 all torn apart. Extremely disappointed in the "heatsink" I need you to figure out how to add more heatsink to it. Also if you can send me an invoice for what you think you need to get your controller installed inside the eBay leds I have. Like we discussed mounting inside the unit with a cut out for the led screen.

Yeah so am I. But the aluminium plate alone with the 1/4" heatsink seem to do a good job for the LEDs. It's the fans i'm worried about on these chinese units. I don't think it removes enough heat fast enough since the drivers end up taking the toll after a year or so of use with the LEDs at 100%.

I would agree since all the high end units have external drivers.

I am actually using one of those heatsinks as a test bed right now. With the 80mm fan I am using currently mounted directly center on the heatsink (Vantec Tornado) I noticed a 50 degree drop in temps. from no fans to one fan running 24 3w LEDs at full 3w. Vantec output is 84.1CFM though and not the quietest.

Can you use a fan that has a variable speed via temp probe? I know computer fans can do this.

With the Driver/controller i've had to design it uses the PCA9685 IC. It allows for 16 PWM channels with a greater dimming resolution (4095) compared to 0-255 aka 0-100%. 11 will be used for lights and three for fans that will be run via a DS18B20 temp sensor.
