Hi everyone, my name is Jim, and I'm going to be moving to Colorado Springs in the first couple of weeks of August. I'm from the Cleveland area in Ohio, and I wanted to try and meet some of the people involved in the hobbby out here. I keep a lot of different types of SPS and LPS and I've been in the hobby for 16 years. If anyone can point me in the direction of some good stores out in the area let me know! Thank you, and I look forward to meeting some of you guys!

Hi Jim,
WELCOME. We have several premier coral vendors within an hour or two. Take a look at our sponsor's forums. Most of them are in Colorado. We also have a great group of members. Let us know if we can help with anything.

Thanks guys I appreciate it! I was hoping there were some good vendors in the area, as I am a serious coral junkie! I actually planned my move date around MACNA being in Denver. :p
I'll be there for sure!

Nice seeing more Ohio peeps here in the springs. We need to schedule an Ohio only get together lol (lived in Ohio, been to Ohio, flown into or driven through Ohio lol).

Bahaha, yeah that will be a nice perk of my relocation.

Thanks everyone! I'm curious to see if there are any different corals being kept/sold out here that haven't made it further east yet.

Hey everyone, I just made it into town after a 22 hour straight drive. Needless to say the first thing I did when I arrived was set up my system. I'll post a picture of my progress thus far. I posted over in the for sale thread that I have some large sheets of meteor shower cyphastrea from my last tank that I am going to be getting rid of, keeping one for myself that is. :p I also have some accidental frags of some across that got made during the trip.

Does anyone have any recommendations for stores in the area? I have only managed to find one in the springs so far.

Aside from petco and seascape aquatics there isn't much as far as retail stores. Bush runs coral xpressions from his home and you'll never leave disappointed, that's south end of town then way up north you have Chris at reefkoi out of his home, wonderful corals and another trip well worth it but he's mostly only open to public on Sundays unless you contact him prior.
Last time I checked my watch this was America!

To specify only go to the Petco at Prominent point

I'll have to check all of that out! Is there anything towards the Denver area?

I'm also having a hard time posting the pictures I wanted to. I'm only familiar with how to do it on Reef Central... It keeps giving me an error when I try to upload them. I just posted pictures the same way on the other thread...

The easiest way to post pictures is to set up a photobucket account and paste the links on our thread.

I'd like to check out your meteor shower and your accidental acro frags. You can text me at 719-321-7795 since you don't have PM privileges yet. Plus I'd like to see this setup that came cross country :) O-H

Thank you! I tried to get a decent picture from my phone. My acroporas seem like they are still trying to shake off the stress of the move, but all of my LPS and the two softies that I keep seem to be opening normally now.

Nice looking tank. You can use the IMG tag in photobucket to directly paste the pic link to the thread.

Thanks for all of the compliments guys! I think that later on today I am going to start a new thread for a little more detailed look at the system. I believe that I am meeting a few of you today so I'm excited to start getting to know people in the hobby around here!
