Hello all fellow marine enthusiast I'm fairly new to the hobby and let me tell you it has taken a hold of me like no other. I am enjoying learning different things about saltwater life And can't express the excitement it brings me and my family. We currently own 2 tanks a 56g column and 100g tall tank. Have a few specimens in alreAdy working towards changing both FOWLR to reef tanks soon. I thank you guys and girls for having us we hope this forum brings as much help to us as it has to you all.

Yes, a thread is posted usually at the beginning of the month stating all the information about that month's meeting, and usually towards the end of the year one of the heads of the club post up a signup for people who want to host meetings throughout the year. Here is this month's meeting thread (just rsvp by posting that you can make it/what you will bring) http://www.thescmas.com/forums/showthread.php?15099-January-2014-meeting

Really wanna add some more rock to that 56 but I think it will be better once I get some corals and a couple more fish and critters not sure what route to go with the bigger tank yet bc of the sizes of those boulders in it

You should be able to keep soft corals under there. Like zoas, palys and mushrooms. What kind of corals are you looking for?

Bell87
01-02-2014, 01:42 PM
Soft corals are cool I want to also do some hard like the really colorful brain looking ones, clams and anemones one in each tank

Then you would need better lighting. I would look at different people's tanks. Not everyone runs LED's. Some people run T5, some metal hailde and possibly compact flourescent. I would set a budget and see what you really like. I have tons of zoas and palys if you ever want to come over and look.
