So a couple weeks ago, I lost a beloved member of my tank..."chewy" my 5" yellow tang. As heartbreaking as it was to lose him (had him for 2 years and was one of the first fish in), I chose to not destroy to culprit...my green carpet nem. However, today I find that it has yet again destroyed the lives of not only the wife and I, but those of tangs everywhere, when it ate my 6" sailfin "smiley".

Both Smiley and Chewy were fun loving fellers who loved people and loved the camera. Never a moment went by where they weren't the first to great me at the waterline ready and eager to eat.

So lets all bow our heads in silence as we take a moment to remember the happy days with them.....and while I rip the heart from my nems body and watch a it slowly dies.

R.I.P. you will be missed :(

Tank is a 6 ft 180. I had the following:
Yellow
Sailfin
Scopas
Purple
Tomini
Vlamingi
Clown

Yellow and sailing went in together and the rest individually over the last 2 year's with the clown being th e newest at only 3 weeks in.

Now that I have 2 huge holes to fill, that daggum brevorostris is looking like a mighty fine addition. Someone please buy it so I don't lol

I say after a few beers tomorrow drop the carpet in a 5gal in the bathroom and we give him a nice ammonia attitude adjustment. If it survives till you leave in the am.... Well then I'll gladly do a burnout on his face in the exploder. Oh, when he drops into the 5gal there should be not even one drop of water.

Someday y'all will learn ;-) Do you have clowns in the tank? Talk to Sage at SS, she will tell you how her clowns used to herd the fish INTO the carpet, to feed it.

Sorry for the loss though. Sux when we loose them.
