Hi Everyone!

I'm Rachel, Ehren's wife. I was using his profile enough, I figured it was time to get my own :-D You'll probably see a few comments/posts that say things like "awesome!" or the like until I hit my 25 posts for PM privileges. lol.

I have met a few of you already and I look forward to meeting more!

Hi Dannonlayne!

Zach, The pods are doing great! Ehren mostly takes care of the pods, I'm hatching the bbs and am the coral freak. Lol.

Good to hear! DON'T FORGET ABOUT DECAPSULATION!!! I...erm..."forgot" to do that (rushed) and well lost all my baby pepps. Getting another hatch soon though so that I don't have any hydroids or anything. Clean slate lol

Yah, thanks. So far so good. I've decapsulated them so far and have been astonished at the density of the hatches for such a small amount of eggs. They seem to be working, the baby clowns have come through metamorphosis so far. Fingers crossed!

Do you use NaOH and bleach method?

I use bleach and white vinager. There was a good article in coral magazine detailing decapsulation and giving step by step instructions that I follow. I also followed it to set up the hatchery. Zach gave an awesome presentation on decapsulating, but due to a crying 4 month old, I missed a decent chunk of it :( I'm sure he can give a much better specific answer on the process

Yes I can :D so I use the bleach and vinegar method as well, but I also use this site to help me with my method http://www.killies.com/Decapsulating.htm
