I've decided to use a refugium sump for my 75g, anyone know of a cheap way of converting a 55g into a 3 chamber sump?

Use 100% silicone and make sure it doesn't have micro ban in it and get a few pieces of acrylic. I went cheap and used ceramic tiles but they leach phosphates so had to take them back out

Or drop a 10g tank in the middle of the 55 and use a small pump to feed the 10g refugium. Of course this is only cheap if you have the pump and tank. Tank is like $14 at Petco and that is cheaper than the silicone and acrylic

You can have glass cut for the dividers. Its cheaper than acryl

If you go to home depot, look for 100% silicone. It should have an item number GE5000. I will confirm this when I go back to the lab, but that should be the right item number.

You can pick up a glass cutter and glass panels at home depot as well and cut them to size, then use masking tape to give the silicone a nice, clean look.
A local glass shop will cut the panels for you and grind the edges down so that you wont cut yourself on them.

The silicone also may say for potable water sources, those are safe for reefs.
