Welcome. You should try to make the next meeting in August on the 25th. It will be a good way to meet people and win a lot of stuff in the big raffle we are going to have.

Thanks! Yeah my Wife is the one who's into culturing phyto and raising the pods. Lol she grabbed the torch and Ran with it our kit should be in this week to get it started. Thanks for the aqua scape comments! It was quite the task .. drilling and pegging and epoxying it all into place. Should be no problem to goto the meeting in August. Probably already seen some of ya guys up at Reef Ed =D.. on another note I am also making my own DIY live rock.

Sure enough man thanks! Think she is starting the culture with Nannochlorpus. And tigger pods. The tigger pods we picked up here in town.

Ok, that is definitely a good pod (I'm getting some soon :D) I'm mainly culturing A. Panamensis (Had to restart do to a recent crash :() and some Isocrysis that I've cultured for around 8 months or so. Just hit me up if ya want any of it!

And just on a personal note here to help ya out, I do mine in 5g buckets, usually two to four per culture, so that if one crashes I have a backup, and its a GREAT space saver

And ONE Last thing (I swear I'll be quiet now :P) here is a good presentation that was given at the MBI (Marine Breeding Initiave) Conference this year on pods - http://tinyurl.com/mwmxz4e Has some GREAT things about triggers that might help you (and your wife) out!

2 liter's work too! I know many people that do that. Also seriously just look up the scientific name of the pod you wanna work with on the MBI species data (http://www.mbisite.org/Species.aspx) and you will find MANY journal entries about whatever species you wanna do! Oh and one more thing, most of this is so easy a 15 year old can do it *hint* *hint*
