With high entisity leds I have heard that you do not match the 5 to 1 ratio like we do with halides and t 5's. I run evos and have 200 watts over my 150 and 460watts over my 315 and both are 30 inch tall tanks. I have to turn down the whites to about half way to get a nice shimmer effect on both tanks and I can still grow every coral under them.

I also think that the programmable lights are a cool feature but kind of a waste of money. I would def recommend that whatever you go with are dimmable and on two different power outlets.

I would go with 4 120 s. For a nice spread over the tank at about 8 to 12 inches above the tank. Just my opinions and how I use leds though.

thank you for your reply I really appreciate you taking the time 2 answer my question! so you think 4 would be enough for a 7 foot tank? I really don't want shadowing like ive seen in some tanks.

Definately. Start with the 4 lights and you can always add 1 more if you need it. Keep in mind you may want a little less light on the sides for chalices, whips, etc. If you need more coverage then raise the lights a little at a time til you get the spread you want
