I had to jump in a lake to get my 17 month old that had fallen between a pier support and the lattice work that framed it. The way it was built, I had to run to the end to jump in and swim back under to look for him in the murky water. I found him at the top holding on to some cable cross ties(will to survive baby). I had sunglasses and shoes on, and my cell phone was in my pocket. Two weeks later I had a new phone, a 16 year old girl slammed into the back of my van. It was pouring rain and when I checked on her - still sitting in her car, she asked if she could use my phone to call her dad. When she was done, she rolled down her window about 2 inches and dropped my new phone into a big puddle.

Since it was saltwater, you should rinse it in FW and then do the rice thing.

My wife's dropped her phone and our cameras in the ocean 5 times. Rice worked twice. I never rinsed it though

And I've considered revoking her electronics privileges but she's my upgrade plan. When I want a newer item, I let her use it. I wonder if it works with skimmers?
