Is what you can do is go to Seascape and I know they have it because that is where I bought mine but they have GLO T5 Ballast's, I cant' remember pricing. However they come with the ballast, wiring, and waterproof endcaps. Then all you need is the reflector's and the bulbs. Over a 55 gallon you could get away maybe with two but could go 4. Hope that helps.

I agree. I moved all my corals from LED to T5 and I was worried. I am actually seeing more growth now.

The dual bulb glo system 48" is 165 without bulbs.

I've got one of these units I'll sell. Only used it for about 3-4 months.

My research proved that coral growth was better with T5 than LEDs. You just can't compete with the color with LEDs.

I would find 2 used 120 watt led panels and be done with it, T5's are great I use to run 8 of them over my 90 gallon but the bulbs wear out to fast and require changing every 6 months which gets expensive quick. I switched to leds 3 years ago and couldnt be happier with color amd growth.

Agree 100%. You don't want an overgrown tank. Corals grow with LEDs just not as fast as with T5. Replacing every 6 months does get expensive.

I agree. I have an 8 bulb. I was just suprised because I was worried about the corals dying going from LED. I miss how the LED's made the Corals POP. Once I figure out what I am doing it is back to my LED's. But for a start up. I would recommend T-5.
