You DO NOT Want red leds Larry. It encourages algae growth and is not worth the hassle or waste of money to get them. Get a 2-1 ratio of blues to whites or whatever blue to white ratio suits your look. :)

all you need is blues and whites. when considering lights make sure you also look at coverage for your tank. you can buy a led light and it not be the right coverage you need. honestly you dont need all the fantasy different colors of lights, ya it may look cool but less is more. i would research the lights that bush has on his tank.

All you need is blue leds. Whites r for looks to add color. I prefer more blues then whites.. more blue = growth. Check out bushes. He's out of town right now till the middle of next month but you'll deff love his tank and lights.

whites are important. as well as the blues. coral will grow under the whites just not as much as the blues. its all in preference on how you want your lights. If you go and look at 99% of the members tanks they use BOTH whites and blues. most people run the whites for the "daylight hours" the the blues for there dusk/dawn. and some run mostly blue for just there frag tank for growing and white/blue for there main display. BOTH are important to the coral
